The Pure Malt scent palette
Pure Malt offers a wide range of scents and varies according to its associations. Basically, we could say that Pure Malt offers peaty and woody scents to which are added many facets. On the fruit side, Pure Malt gives off scents similar to those of raspberries, dried fruits or even scents similar to citrus fruits. On the gourmet side, Pure Malt develops scents similar to that of caramel, honey or toffee. On the floral side, the Pure Malt offers scents similar to heather, hay, fresh flowers or freshly cut grass. Finally, Pure Malt can offer tones close to barley cereal, or even smoked barley.
Pure Malt in perfumery
Thanks to Thierry Mugler's “A Men Pure Malt” fragrance, we all know that Pure Malt and perfumery go together wonderfully. Described as a woody peaty malt, this atypical fragrance offers both fruity and smoky scents. It must be said that the edition of “Pure Malt” perfumes by Thierry Mugler is inspired by the manufacturing methods of whiskeys. Here, the sublimation of the fragrance in barrels lasts no less than 8 weeks, like a great whiskey! At present, there are very few other noses or perfumers who have had the audacity to use Pure Malt in perfumery. Some, such as L'artisan Parfumeur or Hermès, with “Épice Marine” have placed touches of whiskey in their composition, but this remains rare.
Malt, a germinated cereal, is used in drinks such as beer or whiskey. Pure Malt defines whiskeys made only from germinated barley. The malt offers a whole range of smells and tones which vary according to its association, its combinations. Thanks to Thierry Mugler's daring, Pure Malt is now part of perfumery! Thanks to its “A * Men Pure Malt” collection, we were able to discover that Pure Malt blends wonderfully with the world of perfumery, even if the techniques are not quite the same as for other materials.
